Co-Facilitator / Art Educator Contract Position | Part-Time | Montreal

 

City of Many Roots is seeking a Co-Facilitator / Art Educator to support a four-part workshop series for teens in Montreal exploring identity, belonging, language, and cultural storytelling through creative writing and clay. You’ll work closely with the lead facilitator to support participant engagement, and program delivery in partnership with local community centres.  

 

What You’ll Do

 

● Co-facilitate workshops for teens (ages 13–18)

● Support creative writing, clay, and reflective art activities

● Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants

● Assist with workshop setup, materials, and logistics

● Support group discussions on identity, culture, language, and belonging

● Collaborate with community centre staff and project partners

● Contribute ideas for workshop activities and creative exercises

● Support a final showcase or community sharing event (if applicable)  

 

Who You Are

● Experience facilitating youth arts, educational, or community programming ● Comfortable engaging teens in creative and reflective conversations

● Passionate about themes of identity, migration, language, and belonging

● Strong communicator who is collaborative, organized, and adaptable ● Comfortable working in community spaces

● Experience with visual arts, ceramics, creative writing, or mixed media is an asset  

 

Qualifications

● Bilingual in English and French (strong asset)

● Knowledge of Montreal community organizations and youth spaces

● Background in art education, fine arts, or community arts

 

 Contract Details

● Part-time contract position (4 workshops)

● Workshops will take place in Montreal

● Compensation based on experience
